Who books the port and customs side?
Customs clearance and port bookings are usually done by your forwarding agent. Many haulage companies work with agents every day; say in your request who your agent is.
20-foot or 40-foot: what's the difference?
A 40-foot container holds about twice the volume of a 20-foot one, but heavy goods often go in 20-foot containers because of weight limits. Give the container size on your booking.
Can the container stay at my site?
Yes, if you agree it with the supplier. They may charge for waiting time or for keeping the trailer, so say how long you need it.
What is a side loader?
A trailer with its own cranes that lifts the container down onto the ground, so you can load or unload it without a loading bay.
