Towing & recovery: common questions
Is CariLori an emergency service?
No. Suppliers can contact you quickly after you post, but if anyone is hurt or in danger, call 999 first.
Tow truck or tilt tray: which do I need?
A tilt tray carries the whole vehicle on its deck, which is safer for luxury cars, vehicles with locked wheels and long trips. A tow truck lifts one end and suits short trips.
Can I move a car between the Peninsula and Sabah or Sarawak?
Cars usually go by ship. Some suppliers handle the port side; describe the route in your request.
My insurance includes towing. Should I still post?
Check with your insurer first, as many policies include towing up to a certain distance. Post on CariLori if you need something else or a longer trip.
