Roro bin or skip bin: which do I need?
A roro bin is a large bin left on site and taken away by a roro lorry, good for renovations. A skip bin is smaller. For a few items, a lorry with workers may be enough.
Can I put any rubbish in the bin?
Not everything. Chemicals, paint, batteries, asbestos and other dangerous waste need special handling. Tell the supplier what you are throwing away.
Can the bin be placed on the road?
If it must stand on a public road or walkway, the local council may need to agree. Ask the supplier, who can usually advise.
How long can I keep a roro bin?
Agree the days with the supplier when you book. Say in your request how long the work will take.
