Roro bin sizes and prices

Malaysian roro bins are sold by their height: they are about 6 ft wide and 12 ft long. Klang Valley prices per trip (2026), usually including delivery, about 7 days on site, pickup and disposal within the weight limit:

Which size?

• 2 ft: heavy waste such as tiles, bricks, concrete and soil from a kitchen or bathroom renovation.
• 4 ft: a small renovation, or clearing a store or a few rooms.
• 5–6 ft: bulky but light waste such as old furniture, boxes and garden waste from a big clean-up.

Priced by weight instead

Some suppliers sell bins by the weight allowed rather than the height; bigger 12–24 cubic-yard bins are used for big projects. Published prices (2025):

Landfill fees are charged by the tonne (for example about RM95 a tonne at Jeram, Selangor, in 2026) and are part of these prices up to the weight limit.

Extra charges to ask about

• Overweight: every tonne over the limit is charged extra, and a very heavy bin may need a second trip.
• Extra days: about 7 days are usually included (some suppliers allow 2 weeks), then a daily or weekly charge.
• Household or mixed waste: some suppliers charge more than for renovation debris.
• Banned items in the bin: charged extra, or left behind for you to remove.

What can't go in

• Asbestos, paint, solvents and other chemicals.
• Batteries, gas cylinders and tyres.
• Electrical and electronic waste, and clinical waste.
• Anything flammable. Scheduled (hazardous) waste must go to a licensed contractor under DOE rules.

Permits and where the bin goes

Inside your own compound you usually don't need a permit. If the bin must stand on a public road or pavement, suppliers say you need a temporary permit from your local council (PBT), which can take 3–7 working days. Ask the supplier whether they arrange it, and check with your council.
