Size and what fits
A 1-ton lorry is a 10-ft lorry: the cargo space is about 10 × 5 × 5 ft (about 3 × 1.5 × 1.5 m) and it carries up to about 1,000 kg.
- Fits: one room, a small studio, a few big items such as a fridge, washing machine or sofa, or stock for a small shop.
- Too small for: a whole family house, which usually needs a 3-ton or 5-ton lorry.
Good to know

- For a house move, two crew are usual; say if there are stairs without a lift.
- Ask for a tailgate lift (about RM75 extra) if you have heavy items and no forklift.
